Beauty & The Beast draws nearer!

The cast and crew have been very busy ahead of the forthcoming pantomime show "Beauty & the Beast". The first show is scheduled for Fri 29th January at 8.00pm sharp. This will be followed by a second performance the following night, Sat 30th Jan, again at 8.00pm sharp. To complete that weekend's schedule, a matinee will be performed at 3.00pm on Sun 31st Jan. Two more shows are scheduled for an 8.00pm start time on the following weekend on Fri 5th Feb with the final performace on Sat 6th Feb. Tickets for the pantomime will be on sale shortly and these will be available in local shops. Tickets for the nightly performances are €7 while the matinee show is priced at €5. All the performances take place at the local GAA hall.

 

Important Notice - Auditions & Registrations...........

If you auditioned last Wednesday (1st October) for singing, acting and dancing parts in 'The Wizard of Oz', please come to the G.A.A. Hall on Tuesday 14th October at 7.00 p.m.

If you missed the auditions but still want to be involved in the show, you are also welcome to come to the G.A.A. Hall on Tuesday 14th October at 7.00 p.m.  Please note that you must be in sixth class or in secondary school in order to join.

This will be your last opportunity to register with the Club for this coming year, and Registration Forms must be completed and returned for all members.

Registration Fees of €10 per Member or €15 for Family Membership should be submitted on the night.

 

Success in Ennis at the 'Youth Ireland' Regional Variety Finals

Congratulations to our 'Showdance' girls who came first in the Youth Ireland Regional Variety finals at the Holy Family hall in Ennis on 16th February. The girls group consisted of Loren Kelly, Aoife Murray, Sam Perini, Stephanie Sage, Stephanie Griffin and Tara Maxwell. They performed a 'Can Can' routine and now go through to the national finals to be held on the 1st of March. Well done girls!!

Success in Solo Singing at the Regional Variety Finals in Ennis

Congratulations to Sarah Wood who came first at the regional variety finals in Ennis on Saturday 16th February. Accompanied by Stephen O'Dea on guitar, Sarah sang two songs; 'Cry Me A River' and 'Hero'. All members of the Youth Club wish Sarah and Stephen well in the finals.  

 

Through to the Munster Variety Area Finals

Congratulations to our members who recently took part in the Clare Variety finals and go through to the Munster regional finals in February.

Tickets for Babes In the Wood Now ON SALE

Tickets for "Babes In The Wood" are now on sale and are available from Tim Crowes, The Post Office and Centra. Tickets can also be purchased from Youth Club Members. This year, the nightly shows are €6 while the Sunday mattinee are €5.

Rehearsal Times Are Announced

The rehearsal times for 'Babes In The Wood' have just been announced. They are as follows:

Monday 8th October @ 7pm - SINGING (And Every Monday thereafter) in the Courthouse.

Thurs 11th October 7pm to 7:45pm - ACTING in the Courthouse.

Thurs 11th October 7pm to 8pm - DANCING in the the GAA Hall.

Please ensure you are at the hall on time.

 

Auditions Are Officially Over

Thanks to all those who auditioned over the week. The audition process is now over. Both Frances and Ray will be in touch with you all to arrange rehearsal dates and times for the 'Acting' and ' Singing', while Fran and Edel will be in touch with the dancers. 

Please note, when the dates and times are announced, the 'Acting' and 'Singing' rehearsals will take place in the 'Courthouse', while all the dancing rehearsals will take place in the GAA hall.

New Committee Elected at A.G.M.

The Annual General Meeting of the Youth Club took place in the local GAA hall on Wednesday 19th September. Items on the 'Agenda' included planning and preparation for the forthcoming Pantomime production as well as discussing events for the coming year.

We're looking for singers, actors and dancers for our next pantomime, Babes in the Wood.

 

If you're interested, please come along to the following auditions at the GAA Hall in Sixmilebridge on the following dates:-

 

DANCING - Tuesday 25th September @ 7.00 p.m.

 

SINGING - Wednesday 26th September @ 7.00 p.m.

 

ACTING - Thursday 28th September @ 7.00 p.m.

 

Please note that the Pantomime will run for five nights over the first two weekends of February 2008.

Sixmilebridge Youth Club have announced their Pantomime show for 2008. The Club will be performing 'Babes In the Woods' and it run for 5 nights over the following dates at the GAA hall:
